Bob Storrer

Mortgage Loan Officer | Grand Rapids - Cascade | NMLS ID: 498533

Having lived in Grand Rapids for over 50 years, I grew up with the values and expectations that make West Michigan special. I still have these values today: honesty, integrity, faith, and a strong work ethic. I conduct business based on these pillars. To me, a strong work ethic means working hard and working smart, it also translates into being fiercely competitive. I’ve relied on my core values during my 20-plus years in the mortgage industry, while helping fulfil the "American Dream" for thousands of families.

Why work with me? If you’re looking for someone on your home-buying team who will fight for your best interests and not take “no” for an answer, we need to be working together. Independent Bank has all of the standard mortgage products, but also a wide range of specialized products designed to fill in the gaps. Allow me to use my background and years of experience to help you find the mortgage product that will help you realize your short- and long-term financial goals.

Before you choose a lender, here are a few questions to ask:

  • Have other lenders been in the business for over 20 years?
  • Are they available to meet before 9 am or after 5 pm?
  • Do they service the loans they originate?
  • Is their servicing located in Michigan?
  • Do they offer a 21-Day Closing Guarantee?
  • Do they have portfolio loans?
  • Do they offer Construction Loans with 5% down?
  • Can they provide Bridge Loans?
  • Do they have special programs for doctors and community experts?

I can say yes to all of these questions! Plus, Independent Bank was voted a 2018 Best-in-State Bank by Forbes Magazine

If these things are important to you, I hope you’ll consider letting me assist you with a purchase or refinance of your home. If you still don’t believe me, take a look at the comments below to see what some of my past clients have said.

"Whatever my questions or concerns, he addressed them immediately. I was especially impressed with the fact that his responses came even when he was out of the office—weekends and on his vacation time!!! The closing itself was handled most efficiently and professionally. Bob is an excellent example of Independent's high standards; he certainly must be a highly valued employee."
