Independent Bank is partnering with the Community Multiplier Program, and was presented with a grant totaling $87,500 from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank Indianapolis) to assist eligible applicants in their purchase of a home through the Community Homes Land Trust.

The Community Homes Land Trust was founded in 2019, and was created to empower first-time homebuyers to purchase move-in ready homes without taking on an excessive financial risk or having to compete with investors and cash buyers. Through the land trust model, recipients who finance their home with Independent Bank receive $10,000 to use toward their down payment and/or to buy down the interest rate on their mortgage.

Borrowers are also eligible for no closing costs through Independent Bank’s My Home Reward program. To learn more about this program, please visit IndependentBank.com/personal/loans/mortgage-tools/my-home-reward.
