Independent Bank is proud to partner with Cinnaire Solutions and Woodbridge Neighborhood Development Corporation on a new affordable housing initiative in the Woodbridge neighborhood in Detroit. A groundbreaking ceremony took place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, to kick off the construction of the 60-unit project located at 4401 Rosa Parks Boulevard.
Independent Bank, along with community-based nonprofit Woodbridge Neighborhood Development Corporation and nonprofit developer Cinnaire Solutions, are collaborating on the development of the new Rosa Parks Apartments. The project will bring 60 new affordable one- and two-bedroom apartments to the Woodbridge neighborhood, plus a MoGo bike share station and community green spaces.
This development is the first project in a multi-phase redevelopment west of Rosa Parks on the former Wilbur Wright School/Detroit School of Arts site.
