Independent Bank President and CEO Brad Kessel has been named a 2026 West Michigan Business Hall of Fame Laureate by Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes.
The West Michigan Business Hall of Fame recognizes local business leaders whose leadership and contributions have made a lasting impact on the West Michigan community. Kessel is being honored alongside John D. Loeks, Chairman of Studio C, Celebration Cinema and ShowSpan, Inc.
Kessel will be recognized at the 2026 West Michigan Business Hall of Fame event on October 19, 2026, at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids.
Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes works to prepare young people for future success by helping students build the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to pursue their goals. Proceeds from the Hall of Fame event support Junior Achievement programs serving area students.
