Independent Bank was named Best Bank in Michigan by Forbes Magazine. This is the second year in a row Independent Bank was named a BEST-IN-STATE bank by Forbes magazine.

Forbes partnered with market research firm, Statista, to survey more than 25,000 customers throughout the United States. Customers were surveyed for their opinions on their current and previous banking relationships. Banks were rated on overall recommendations and satisfactions, as well as five subcategories, including trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice. Nationwide financial institutions were excluded from the final rankings.

“I know how hard each and every person within our company works each day to care for and serve our customer base, and I am proud of our employees for their dedication and the roles they played in helping us achieve this award,” said Brad Kessel, President and CEO of Independent Bank.

In total, 149 banks received the recognition, representing 2.8% of U.S. financial institutions. To learn more about Independent Bank, visit IndependentBank.com.
