Independent Bank Corporation (NASDAQ: IBCP), the holding company of Independent Bank, a Michigan-based community bank, announced that it has hired Angela Champagne as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer.
Ms. Champagne brings nearly 15 years of financial services experience, of which the last nine years have been spent in Human Resources. She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University, as well as her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She remains a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
She brings a wealth of human resources knowledge to Independent Bank in the areas of employment law, regulatory matters, and strategic human resources initiatives, including employee experience, workforce planning, culture and engagement, and more.
