Michael J. Debri is a commercial banking leader with nearly three decades of experience across West Michigan and Mid‑Michigan. Before coming to Independent Bank, he served as Senior Vice President and Grand Rapids Senior Market Director at Huntington Bank, where he led high‑performing business banking teams, drove strategic market initiatives, and oversaw comprehensive client growth across lending, deposits, treasury management, and wealth services.

Throughout his career, Michael has managed large regional teams, guided credit strategy, and represented his institutions in community and executive settings. His prior roles—including West Michigan Business Banking Area Manager, Lansing Community President, and Vice President/Team Lead in Commercial Real Estate at Fifth Third Bank—highlight his consistent success in portfolio growth, cross‑segment collaboration, and team development.

With a Finance degree from Michigan State University and deep expertise in underwriting, relationship management, and organizational leadership, Michael is known for building strong client partnerships, elevating team performance, and shaping regional banking strategy. Mchael has been married to his wife Erin for 25 years and has two boys, Andrew (23) and Bryce (22).
