Jason Smith

Born and raised in West Michigan, Jason Smith is a commercial lender with more than 22 years of banking experience serving businesses throughout the region. His diverse background in commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate (CRE) lending enables him to develop tailored financing solutions that support his clients' strategic goals and long-term success.

Jason believes strong relationships are built through listening, meaningful conversations, and a genuine understanding of each client's business. This collaborative approach allows him to deliver creative, customized financial solutions that align with each organization's unique objectives.

Passionate about giving back to the communities where he lives and works, Jason is especially committed to expanding access to affordable housing. He serves on the board of directors and several committees for Dwelling Place in Grand Rapids, helping advance its mission of creating housing opportunities and strengthening neighborhoods. He also serves as Treasurer and a board member for the Lakeshore United Rotaract Club, supporting community service and leadership development throughout West Michigan.

Outside of work, Jason is a proud father of twin boys. When he isn't spending time with them, he enjoys being with family and friends, staying active, and exploring the many communities that make West Michigan a great place to live, work, and play.
