Independent Bank promotes savings to help people reach their goals
As part of America Saves Week 2013, scheduled for February 25 – March 2, Independent Bank is spreading the saving message, and urging its customers to participate. America Saves Week is a national campaign that encourages individuals and families to save money and build personal wealth.
“America Saves Week is a great opportunity to help people in our communities to Set a Goal, Make a Plan and Save Automatically,” said Independent Bank’s President and CEO, Brad Kessel. Independent Bank is inviting its customers to set a goal and pledge how much they’ll save this year on the America Save’s website.
To help people save successfully and encourage more people to save, Independent Bank is promoting the benefits of saving through everyday life, such as bringing lunches to work, which can add up to savings of $60 a month or an annual savings of $720 a year.
Saving even just a little each month can help people with their finances or with extra money in case there’s an emergency down the line.
America Saves Week is coordinated by America Saves and the America Savings Education Council. The Week is an annual opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status.
