Independent Bank’s Newaygo, Croton and White Cloud offices raised over $3,000 to fight cancer for Newaygo County Relay For Life.
Leading up to and during the event in June, the offices held several other fundraisers, such as hosting bake sales and selling candy bars. The Relay was held at the Fremont Football Field, and Independent Bank’s team consisted of bank associates, their families and friends.
“We would like to extend our thanks to the Newaygo, Croton and White Cloud area communities and the many volunteers for their support,” said Jim Badgero, vice president of community banking at Independent Bank.
To date, 22 teams that participated in the Newaygo County Relay For Life event have raised $54,340 to fight cancer. “When you walk at an event, it's a chance to honor cancer survivors and raise awareness to help fuel the world's largest walk to end cancer," said Badgero.
