On August 11, Independent Bank re-launched their corporate website, IndependentBank.com, providing customers with enhanced functionality, increased homepage features, redesigned framework and a homepage portal to a new social media repository, EagleExperience.com.

Overall, the site features tools that increase usability such as a homepage interest rate application and direct access to the contact us form. Visitors will also find quick access to online account sign-up, online banking and bill pay, SwiftPay loan payments and Business Advantage sites.

As part of the enhancement, Independent Bank invites customers to share their stories on EagleExperience.com, a new social media website dedicated to customer experience. Independent Bank’s goal is to stay true to its community banking philosophy and deliver on its service promise and mission to “impress every customer every day, every time.” EagleExperience.com was developed to encourage customer involvement and experience.

“Social networking is just one more opportunity for IB to go where our customers are gathering, talking and sharing. It’s given us the tools to increase transparency, provide two-way engagement with customers and share our favorite customer experiences in a multi-media format. Our micro site, EagleExperience.com, is our place to blog about relevant, time-sensitive topics, to park videos created from customer feedback, and serves as the place where customers can link to our networks on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

“It’s just one more opportunity for IB to go where our customers are, as well as to continually readjust and fine-tune how we work for them,” said Senior Vice President and Marketing Director Shelby Reno. She adds, “We’re the only community bank in Michigan that is leveraging a micro site, which will assist in our SEO efforts, like enriching search engine results pages (SERPs).”

Independent Bank is one of the few banks in the Michigan market that offers online account sign-up as a convenience for customers and as well as social media in response to the growing need for additional online tools. “It’s just one more way that we can connect and serve our customers who increasingly need quick access to bank information in a virtual, changing world,” said Reno.

To get the best possible experience using IndependentBank.com, it’s recommended that visitors upgrade their Web browser to either Internet Explorer 8+ or Firefox 3+. For customers who choose not to upgrade at this time, their online banking and bill pay access will not be affected.
