Independent Bank’s Bye receives the 2009 Bay Area Volunteer of the Year Award

Alycia Bye of Independent Bank has been presented with the Bay Area Volunteer of the Year Award by the Junior Achievement of Northeast Michigan.
Junior Achievement of Northeastern Michigan is an organization that teaches children from kindergarten to high school seniors about business and entrepreneurship. The award is presented annually in each county of the franchise and is currently in its sixth year. The organization recognizes volunteers who go above and beyond the normal commitment to their cause with the award.
Alycia has volunteered with the organization for the past nine years, starting at the elementary school level. She has most recently worked with high school students.
