Independent Bank plans bus trip to Soaring Eagle Casino to benefit Sparta Relay For Life

The associates of the Independent Bank Sparta banking office have planned a bus trip to the Soaring Eagle Casino to benefit the Sparta Relay For Life. The one day trip is open to all members of the community and will take place on Saturday, April 5.
The cost of the trip is $35 per person and includes transportation to and from Soaring Eagle, $15 in Soaring Eagle gambling credits, a $5 lunch voucher, as well as games and entertainment on the bus. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, which will take place in June.
2008 is the second year for the Sparta Relay. “We are proud to be involved in the Relay again this year. We felt the bus trip would be a new and exciting way to raise money, and something many people could enjoy,” said Kelly DeWindt, assistant vice president and branch manager of the Sparta banking office.
All trip participants are asked to sign up no later than Friday, March 21. Those interested in registering should visit the Sparta banking office located at 525 South State Street or call 616.887.8277 with questions.
Following are pick-up times and locations:- 8:00 am – Sparta Car Pool, M-37 & 13 Mile
- 8:30 am – Cedar Springs Car Pool, 131 & 17 Mile Road
- 9:00 am – Howard City Leppink’s Food Center parking lot
The group will leave the casino at 5:00 pm to return home. Drop-offs will be at the same locations.
Shipshewana on the Road will also be at the Casino that day. Admission is $3.00 per person.
