Swanson named manager of Independent Bank’s newest office

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Independent Bank has named Jessica M. Swanson manager of its newest banking office in Shelby Township, which is slated to open May 31.
In her new position, Swanson will be responsible for opening the Shelby Township office, 49785 Van Dyke Ave.
“I am proud to recognize Jessica’s contributions to Independent Bank by appointing her manager of our newest office,” said Ron Long, president and CEO of Independent Bank East Michigan. “I know the Shelby Township community will benefit from Jessica’s leadership and volunteerism.”
Swanson joined Independent Bank as a part-time teller in 2001 and received several promotions. Her most recent role was as assistant manager for the Caro office. She has been recognized as the bank’s top producing assistant manager in the areas of consumer and mortgage loans.
“Independent Bank already has a number of customers in this community,” Swanson noted. “I am excited about the opportunity to provide full-service banking in Shelby Township. I look forward to meeting our customers in person and learning firsthand about Shelby Township.”
The Shelby Township location represents Independent Bank’s 121st banking office in the state of Michigan. The facility will have four teller windows, three drive-up banking lanes and a drive-up ATM. Additional features include four offices and a conference room.
